Grand’s musical “A Christmas Carol” to light up Ellsworth

ELLSWORTH — The Grand continues its fine tradition of community theater with a production of a musical adaptation of Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol” with original songs at 7 p.m. Friday-Saturday, Dec. 14-15, 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 16, 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 21, and at 2 and 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 22.

“Marley was dead.” With those chilling words, one of the greatest pieces of holiday literature begins. The Grand’s “A Musical Christmas Carol,” though, injects music and takes all ages on a moving and entertaining journey through the Dickens classic, bringing alive the story’s beloved characters with some twists!
