Franklin Vets Club hosting events



FRANKLIN — The Franklin Veterans Club will begin hosting open mic nights on the second Friday of every month starting on March 8.

The events are free and open to the public and start at 6:30 p.m. Donations towards the club’s nonprofit activities will be accepted.

The club also will hold a St. Patrick’s Day party on Friday, March 15, from 6 to 9 p.m. The event will include live music, drink specials and boiled dinner.

The party is free and open to the public, but donations will be accepted.

Rockin’ Ron and the New Society will perform at a dance at the club on Saturday, March 23.

The dance will run from 8 p.m. to midnight.

Tickets are on sale at the Franklin Trading Post, Hancock Grocery and the veterans club for $8 each (cash only, please).

There will be an auction featuring goods and services from local businesses and artisans at the club on Friday, March 29, at 6 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.

Donated items can be dropped off at the club between 3 and 6 Monday thru Saturday.
