ELLSWORTH — All this month, movie-goers can sit back and enjoy watching “Aquaman (in 3-D)” and other great family movies on The Grand’s state-of-the-art digital screen for only one dollar. Maine Coast Sea Vegetables is sponsoring “Aquaman,” the first in this month’s “Dollar Family Movie” series, which will show at 7 p.m. Friday, May 10.
With Jason Momoa in the title role, the film reveals the origin story of half-human, half-Atlantean Arthur Curry, taking him on the journey of his lifetime and discover whether he is worthy of being king. With Nicole Kidman, Willem Dafoe, Amber Heard, Patrick Wilson and Dolph Lundgren.
“Spiderman: Into the Spiderverse (in 3D),”starring Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, will screen at 7 p.m. on Saturday, May 11. The creative minds behind “The Lego Movie” bring a fresh vision of a different Spider-Man Universe, with a visual style that’s the first of its kind. “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse” introduces Brooklyn teen Miles Morales and the limitless possibilities of the Spider-Verse, where more than one can wear the mask.
Directed by Bob Persichetti, Peter Ramsey and Rodney Rothman, “Mary Poppins Returns” will be shown at 7 p.m. on Friday, May 17, and at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 18.
