ELLSWORTH — An all-teen cast will kick off the holiday season and perform “A Charlie Brown Christmas,” the stage adaptation of the beloved 1965 TV special created by Peanuts cartoonist Charles Schulz, Friday-Sunday, Dec. 7-9, at The Grand.
Directed and choreographed by Nina Robinson-Poole, the musical production will feature jazz musician and composer Vince Guaraldi’s magical “Christmas Time is Here” and songs from the musical “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown” as well as the Christmas carol “Hark! the Herald Angels Sing.” Malen Hsu is the music director.
Taking on the familiar characters of Lucy, Linus, Schroeder, Snoopy and good ol’ Charlie Brown, the cast of local teenagers includes Nick Hansen, Emma Kohr, Caleb Leathers, Catherine Ford, Winslow Hanson, Lillian Philbrook, Nolan Domagala, Jarod Smith and Kasey Jordan.
