BAR HARBOR — The Bar Harbor Music Festival’s final week will close with two concerts by the Bar Harbor Festival String Orchestra, with maestro Francis Fortier conducting.
The programs will include music from Mozart, Ernest Bloch and Vivaldi, and a tribute to Samuel Barber’s 100th birthday with his “Adagio for Strings.”
The annual Bob Noonan Memorial Concert is scheduled for Friday, July 23, at the Bar Harbor Congregational Church beginning at 8:15 p.m. Immediately after the concert, there will be a reception in the church parlor.
The final concert of the 44th season will be the Festival Gala on Sunday, July 25, beginning at 8:15 p.m. at the Bar Harbor Club. An optional pre-concert dinner is offered and the audience is invited to dance to Strauss waltzes immediately following the orchestra’s performance.
Reserved seating tickets for July 23 are $25, and tickets for July 25 are $35. Student tickets are $15 and children 12 and younger are admitted free. The optional pre-concert dinner is an additional $35, which includes tax and gratuity.
