As part of its family series, The Grand will feature Bangor Ballet’s spring production of “Snow White” as well as The Downeast Kids Chorus on Sunday, April 14.

ELLSWORTH — Bangor Ballet will present “Snow White,” a new original ballet based on the classic fairy tale, at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 14, at The Grand. The Downeast Kids Chorus, directed by Grammy Award-winning musician Paul Sullivan, will perform before the ballet.

Choreographed by Thomas School of Dance staffers Serena and Cassandra Lovett, “Snow White” uses well known and less well known classical music to tell the story of Snow White and the Seven Dwarves. This is a show for the entire family.

Bangor Ballet company members and students from Thomas School of Dance and other local dance studios will portray the familiar characters of Snow White, The Evil Queen, the Huntsman who spares Snow White’s life, the Prince and the Seven Dwarves as well as shadows, trees and wind and a variety of forest creatures.

After the ballet, the “Snow White” cast will be available for a question-and-answer session photo opportunity with the dancers. No pictures may be taken during the performance.

Tickets cost $14 per adult, and $7 for children under age 12. To reserve seats, call 667-9500 or visit www.grandonline.org.
