No, really, you can hang a deer head with antlers on your Christmas tree this year because The Bud Connection on Main Street is selling such ornaments. They are $4.95.
Did someone bag a first deer this year?
The Bud Connection also has velveteen deer ornaments attached to a stick to prop on a limb.
There also are shiny ornaments with a bit of glitter like a mother bear holding a cub. A bird perching on pine cones fetches $6.95.
The Meadow of Blue Hill has numerous ornaments as well, including a farm-themed series. A green tractor ornament goes for $12.50, a wreathed goose runs $20 while a tin windmill sells for $22. There also are glass cow ornaments.
We were especially partial to a glass fox ornament with a faux fur tail for $15.
Do you have a cook? Some clever artist has put a tiny Christmas tree in a glass salt shaker. Those ornaments are $10.
Have your parents downsized to a tabletop tree? The Meadow has boxes of 24 miniature brightly-hued glass ball ornaments for $22.50.
