T-shirt weather will soon be upon us. The Ellsworth Renys has lots of T-shirts, tank tops and shorts to replenish your wardrobe. PICJUMBO PHOTO

Time to snap up cool, comfy tops

Have you pulled out your spring and summer clothing to assess what’s lacking yet?

Do it soon and then get to the Ellsworth Renys where there are racks upon racks of cute and colorful short-sleeve and tank tops by Talbot’s, J. Crew, Banana Republic and more.

Most were under $10. We found a cotton, V-neck short-sleeved gray T-shirt ($5.99), which we imagine wearing with white jeans if the temperature ever warms up.

Our best score, however, was a maroon, linen short-sleeve T-shirt by Banana Republic, also $5.99. We think the linen fabric helps dress it up a bit.

We also needed a new long-sleeve white T-shirt for weekends and we found a relaxed version by Liz Claiborne for $9.99.

Liz’s shirt will replace our only other long-sleeve white T-shirt, which has turned beige and sports permanent dog and cat paw prints. Don’t ask.

Renys has shorts too. We found Style & Co. shorts in khaki, a light gray and dark blue denim. Those are all $9.99 and come in petite sizes too.

Lest we forget, Renys has two racks of Chicos tops, sweaters and pants. We were especially partial to a long-sleeve blouse in a print best described as “psychedelic,” which featured the trendy cut-out shoulder design. Those are $19.99.
