Leggings are a girl’s best friend in winter.

Get a leg up

Have you ever seen a white crocodile? We do whenever we gaze at our naked legs, which are scaly and white thanks to winter weather coupled with dehydration.

We’ve begun applying a thin layer of petroleum before lathering on moisturizer. The petroleum serves as a crumb coat for the skin.

If there was a beach vacation in our future, we would need to pair leggings with a bathing suit lest we scare off the beach-goers.

We found cute leggings at Renys in lots of colors and patterns. Our favorite is black with a rose print. All the leggings are $7.99 and range in size from small to extra large.

A kindly hospital employee tipped us off to her source for stylish leggings: Family Dollar on High Street. The chain doesn’t always have them in stock, so check from time to time. The day we went, we only found corduroy leggings in slate and burgundy. Those were $5 each.

You can also find leggings at Elizabeth’s on Main Street in Ellsworth.
