ELLSWORTH — Woodlawn will welcome back artist Gay Paratore for a two-day basic watercolors class on Friday, Aug. 24, and Saturday, Aug. 25.
The class will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on both days.
Students will have fun learning how to paint beautiful clouds and sunsets and easy ways to make rocks, grass and trees. Secrets to painting colors that are clean and glowing and how to paint water and reflections in water will be taught.
Paratore teaches all media of art and all ages. She founded the National Society of Artists in 1985 and has won numerous Best of Show and first place awards.
The cost is $140 for Woodlawn members and $150 for nonmembers. A list of supplies will be emailed to registered participants.
