MOUNT DESERT — The Northeast Harbor Library is hosting its annual exhibition of artwork by students from Mount Desert Elementary School. “This year we think we have mounted the best children’s show ever. The colors on the north wall make me think of Matisse,” said the library’s Judith Blank. The show is up through the month of December.

There will be an artists’ reception at the library, 1 Joy Rd., on Monday, Dec. 5, from 3 to 5 p.m. during which there will be music provided by some of the children in the elementary school.
