Association to give away two tickets per concert



BLUE HILL — To draw a wider audience, the Blue Hill Concert Association will offer a pair of complimentary tickets to each of its four concerts kicking off with the Hermitage Piano Trio at 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 19, at the First Congregational Church of Blue Hill.

As part of its community outreach, the association will give away two free tickets for each of the winter season’s concerts through 11 area libraries. They will be given on a first-come, first-served basis. The tickets are not concert specific and can be used at any concert during the season.

The tickets will be made available two to four weeks before each concert through the Blue Hill Public Library, Buck Memorial Library (Bucksport), Chase Emerson Memorial Library (Deer Isle), Ellsworth Public Library, Free Public Library of Brooksville, Friend Memorial Public Library (Brooklin), Jesup Memorial Library (Bar Harbor), Northeast Harbor Library, Southwest Harbor Public Library, Stonington Public Library and Witherle Memorial Library (Castine).

This season’s concert series will continue at 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 9, with the Akropolis Reed Quintet while the Aizuri Quartet will perform at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 23. The Rolston String Quartet will close the concert series, performing at 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 22.

Regular tickets cost $30 per adult. Admission is free for young people 21 and under.
