Piano duo to give midday concert at Moore Center March 17

Duo Mundi George & Guli is made up of Gulimina Mahamuti and George Lopez. Their performance in Ellsworth will include pieces by Sergei Rachmaninoff and George Gershwin

The duo has performed around the world, and has explored music for both one piano four hands and two piano four hands in the standard and contemporary repertoire as well as commissioned new works by national and international composers such as Ratko Delorko and Lucas Richman. The duo has been lauded as “breathing the same artistic air” with an adrenaline of communication that captivates audiences of every generation.

The next concert in the 2022-23 series will be held Friday, April 14, and will feature Forty-Fifth Parallel (Chris Nemeth, violin; Laura Gallucci, viola; and Timothy Garrett, cello).
