"From Every Village Green" Peace rallies were held throughout Hancock County and the nation over the weekend to mark the start of the fourth anniversary of the U.S.-led invasion of Iraq. The Ellsworth rally drew more than 100 people to the S.K. Whiting Park. Participants later lined Main Street from the park to the Union River bridge, singing and chanting for peace, holding up signs and banners, and waving at passing motorists.
