MARK LEONARD PHOTO Ellsworth runners finish Boston Marathon April 17, 2017 on Running/Cycling, Sports ELLSWORTH — Three Ellsworth natives made the trip to Massachusetts to compete in the 121st Boston Marathon on Monday, and all three finished the race. Andrew Tiemann, 59, finished the race in 3 hours, 31 minutes, 44 seconds, which earned him 7,481st place overall. Finishing about seven minutes behind him was fellow 59-year-old Jim Newett, who finished in 9,415th place with a time of 3:38:52. Also finishing the race was Down East Family YMCA Fitness Director Robin Clarke, who crossed the finished line in 4:06:54. All three runners ran the entire way and earned official finisher’s medals. Next year’s race will be held April 16.
