The field hits the road at last year’s Boggy Brook 5K Road Race/Walk in Ellsworth. This year’s event, to benefit Hancock County Technical Center SkillsUSA students, is scheduled for Sunday, April 2. Boggy Brook road race scheduled for April 2 March 17, 2017 on Running/Cycling, Sports ELLSWORTH — The 5th Annual Boggy Brook 5K Road Race/Walk and 1-Mile Family Fun Run is scheduled for Sunday, April 2. The event on Boggy Brook Road will benefit Hancock County Technical Center (HCTC) SkillsUSA students, who will be competing at national competitions in Louisville, Ky., at the end of June. Participants can pre-register on active.com or at HCTC. The first 50 registrants will receive a free T-shirt. The race starts and ends at the Wilson Field on the Boggy Brook Road at 9 a.m., with registration opening at 8 inside HCTC. The 1-mile Family Fun Run starts at 9, immediately followed by the start of the 5K race/walk. Sponsors for the race include Bar Harbor Bank & Trust, Machias Savings Bank, Maine Coast Memorial Hospital and Wallace Events. SkillsUSA is a national nonprofit career and technical student organization that helps bridge students and industry together to ensure America has a skilled workforce.
