GSA’s baseball team (1-0) scored four runs to take the lead in the bottom of the first after Sumner (0-1) scored a run to lead off the game, and the Eagles never relinquished the league in an 8-3 victory. Taylor Schildroth finished with two hits and two runs for GSA. In softball, Sumner (1-0) broke out the big bats in the sixth and seventh innings to score 15 runs and secure a 20-5 win over the Eagles (0-1). Lauren Hanna was the winning pitcher for the Tigers.
