Orland dam surveys available

ORLAND — Surveys are available from the Orland Dam Committee on alternatives for the future of the village dam.

The survey is available in two forms. One is for the well and water usage by property owners along the Narramissic River, which was mailed to the selected residents.

The other is a recreational, aesthetic and cultural use survey, which inquires about fishing, boating, swimming and other uses of the river as well as the frequency of use and other ways people might appreciate the waterway.

Anyone who uses and/or cares about the river, including out-of-towners, are encouraged to take the survey.

The survey can be obtained at the Orland town office, online at http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/R9VY578, via a link on the town’s website, www.orlandme.org, or on the Facebook page of Great Pond Mountain Conservation Trust, www.facebook.com/GPMCT.

The deadline for returning the surveys is Friday, March 15. For more information, contact John Barlow at [email protected] or contact the Orland town office.
