Handicap access bid awarded

BAR HARBOR — A bid of $4,150 has been awarded to Portland Glass for installation of auto-assist doors at the handicap-accessible entrance to the municipal building.

The money is being taken from $46,000 left over from a bond that was issued in 2010 to pay for upgrades to the building, which involved new wiring, carpet and a new town manager and town clerk’s office.
