Topless woman turns heads

BAR HARBOR — A topless woman out walking along Main Street with a scantily-clad man wearing a long coat and high heels turned quite a few heads and likely surprised some passengers from the first cruise ship of the year on Sunday.

The pair informed Officer Shaun Farrar that they were working on a photography project for their College of the Atlantic classes. A man complaining about the impropriety of the situation was informed that it is completely legal for a woman to go in public without a shirt on, Police Chief Nate Young said.
