Tire-spinning leads to summons for assault

BUCKSPORT — A local man was summoned and charged with assault after he allegedly used his truck to shower passers-by with debris.

Roger Brown III, 20, of Bucksport was charged with assault after police received a report March 27 of “a pickup spinning tires and kicking up debris on pedestrians walking on Main Street.”

Brown was identified as the driver of the vehicle. Sgt. David Winchester said police believe Brown was spinning his tires and kicking up debris on purpose.

The officer said Brown knew the people who were reportedly getting showered with debris.
