Club is Offering Scholarships



CASTINE —  SEQ CHAPTER h r 1This year the Castine Woman’s Club will offer scholarships to Castine residents as well as to residents of towns represented by its membership, including Deer Isle, Penobscot and Sedgwick.

The amount to be awarded totals $3,000, which will be divided among recipients in scholarships starting at $500. The applicants must be either high school graduates or have completed a home-schooling program and must have been accepted by a school of higher learning (either college or technical school).

High school seniors may receive application information from the guidance offices at Bucksport High School, Deer Isle-Stonington High School, George Stevens Academy and John Bapst Memorial High School.

The deadline for submitting a completed scholarship application form is May 1.
